The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery features the expertise of more than 35 cardiothoracic surgeons and 170 professional staff members across four divisions.

Division of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery

The Division of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery focuses on conditions of the lung, trachea, chest wall, mediastinum, diaphragm, esophagus, stomach, and proximal small intestine with a focus on minimally invasive procedures.

Division of Lung Transplant/Lung Failure

The Division of Lung Transplant/Lung Failure takes a true team approach to patient care.  Our multidiscplinary group of experts strives to provide the best care possible to patients from around the world with complex cases that have made them unsuitable transplant candidates at other centers.

Division of Adult Cardiac Surgery

The Division of Adult Cardiac Surgery treats complex diseases of heart, requiring aortic dissections, mirtal valve repairs, ventricular assist devices and heart transplant.

Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery

The Division of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery provides surgical intervention for infants, children, and young adults with congenital and acquired cardiac and vascular diseases, and abnormalities of the tracheobronchial tree and chest wall.
