Class of 2017 Cardiothoracic Surgery Residents and Fellows Graduate

Traditional Two Year Cardiothoracic Resident Graduates:

Mohamad Alaeddine, MD completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency and is now moving on to complete a congenital cardiac surgery fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. 

Fred Lee, MD completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency and is now completing an advanced fellowship at Baylor in Houston, Texas.

Fernando Safdie, MD completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency and is now completing an advanced minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship at UPMC before moving on to serve as an attending surgeon at Cedars-Sinai of Miami, Florida.

Harma Turbendian, MD completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency and is now completing congential cardiac surgery fellowship at Children's Hospital of Denver.

Advanced Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery Fellows Graduates:

Brian Lace, MD completed his advanced minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship and is now a Clinical Instructor in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Divsion of Lung Transplant/Lung Failure.

Robert Messier, MD completed his minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship and is currently deciding between multiple job offers.

Joanna Sesti, MD completed her minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship and has accepeted a job offer as an attending general thoracic surgeon at St. Barnabas Wood Johnson in New Jersey.
