Endowed Chair Dinner

Our Department celebrated our legacy and the future at an event honoring our four new Endowed Chairs:

Dr. Arjun Pennathur: Sampson Family Chair in Thoracic Surgical Oncology
Dr. Thomas G. Gleason: Ronald V. Pellegrini Chair in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Dr. Robert L. Kormos: Brack G. Hattler Chair in Cardiothoracic Transplantation
Dr. Victor O. Morell: Eugene S. Wiener Chair in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery

Hands-On Surgical Wet Labs

Hands-on surgical wet lab during annual esophageal cancer course, Wednesday, December 9 - Friday, December 11, 2015.  Participants had the opporuntity to hone their skills in conduit creation, pyloroplasty and anastomsis steps of minimally invasive esophagectomy, as well as explore other new technology associated esophageal disease treatment.

Resident and Fellows Graduation 2016

On June 15, 2016 at the Fox Chapel Golf Club we celebrated the graduation of traditional two-year Cardiothoracic Surgery residents Dr. Julissa Jurado, Dr. Brian Lace, Dr. M. Jawad Latif, and Dr. Ibrahim Yazji; advanced minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellows Dr. Nicholas Baker, Dr. Kevin Jamil and Dr. Neha Reddy; and cardiothoracic transplant fellow Dr. Tanuntorn Songdechakraiwut.
